ULTRA HIGH PRESSURE
WHAT IS IT?
THE TECHNOLOGY
The UHP fire suppression systems create water droplets 1/64th the size of conventional systems. Micro water droplets increase the surface area allowing for greater heat absorption. Quicker heat reduction means less water used, about 20% the amount of water compared to other low pressure systems.
THE PUMP
The Ultra High Pressure (UHP) system is defined by the NFPA as pressures above 1100 psi. OTEX UHP pumps are designed for the harsh environment for firefighting and pressures up to 1500 psi and more. Our UHP pumps are driven by a variety of systems including gas engine, diesel engine and hydraulic motor. OTEX UHP systems range in flows from 3 gpm - 60 gpm with multiple handlines.
THE BENIFITS
Why use UHP? Do you have a minimal water supply? Are you limited on the fire ground by personal? If you answer yes to any of these questions UHP is for you. UHP fire suppression systems use up to 20% less water to extinguish a fire. Simple 1 person operations, small handlines also minimize personal needed. Making this a perfect fit for quick attack.
